Anna Powell Mason (1789-1861)

This portrait was evidently sold after 2004 since it is reproduced in an ad of another antiques dealer in the October 2006 issue of ANTIQUES magazine on page 11. More family information is given there: Anna became the wife of Patrick Grant in ca. 1807. He was a "successful Scottish immigrant who settled in Boston in 1800. An agent for several European firms, Grant was lost at sea in 1812 on his way home from France, and he left Anna with one child, Patrick (1809-1895)."
I am also scanning this page in case any of Ms. Mason's or Mrs. Grant's descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Mason or Grant family ought to have it--it's too good to be missed by the families.
My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please reply to me directly at that email address rather than on this Genforum site, which I probably will not see.
If it were a portrait of a Mr. Pease, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me.
