MASON is our brick wall
I descended from James MASON who was born in Rehoboth, Bristol Co, MA (that was once a part of RI) in 1773 (don't confuse this James Mason with other James Mason born in 1774 and he remained in NY).He moved to Adams/Cheshire area, Berkshire Co. and then moved to western NY around 1800.After his last three were born, the family moved to Medina Co., where he died in 1849.He married three times, first to Hopy SMITH (another brick wall) and had 4 children, married 2nd to Sally ALDRICH but this marriage lasted only two years and they had no issue, married 3rd to twice widowed Margaret RANDALL Allen Clark Mason. They had 3 girls together.Margaret was first married to William P ALLEN (a brick wall) and had two sons but her husband and infant son died. She remarried to widowed John Cook CLARK and had 4 children.John Cook CLARK was previously married to Lydia BANCROFT and they had 4 children.
I have lots of information, but there is still much work left.We found out that this family (all or some?) were Quakers and later converted to Methodist Episcopal Church, but we still have questions. We also have questions on various lines in this clan.We would love to invite you to join our clan so we can share and compare notes, etc.
Please contact me at [email protected] for more details and how you can go about joining us.We've formed a group for our Allen Clark Mason Clan for this purpose.
