Hi there everyone, it would be interesting to record a list here of famous Matchetts everywhere who have contributed to the communities in which they live. Know any examples? The ones I would like to contribute are Sir John Matchett of Norwich who was the private chaplain to Queen Elizabeth 1 of England's Archbishop of Canterbury, Matthew Parker, in the 1500s. Also Robert Sherrif of Norwich 1450. In USA Charles H Matchett of New York stood in the presidential election 1896 for Socialist Labour. Who else can add a few?
