I was wondering if by chance you had the full birth and death dates of the T D Matchett family you listed.
As far as my research has shown me these Matchett's are indeed related to your James L. Matchett. T D(Thomas David) Mattchet was a brother to James. Another brother, Jacob F, also lived in the area. All these Matchett's came from Wilcox Co., AL. A nepheew to these men, William T Matchett, was also in the Washington Co. area in 1870.
