According to my dad, this is my ancestor too. My father knows quite a bit about this topic. Unfortunately, my dad is a bit of a Luddite and doesn't like computers, so I must (at least until I convince him otherwise) communicate for him. He knows about Matchetts in the Revolutionary War, about Matchetts buried at sea on the jorney from Ireland and much more. We live in Southeast Texas and have one ggrandfather who came here from Alabama. I am a newby to the world of genealogy, but my father's information is verified by census reports and other reliable sources. I would love to share information with anyone with similar intersts. Thanks!
