Hi Elwood, great to hear from you again. It is such a pity that records were only kept from mid-eighteen hundreds in these parishes. Don't give up however as clues leading to answers are turning up all the time such as with our Australian branches. They now have nearly the whole story and what an amazing story it has turned out to be. Close to the old Milsop home place there lived a branch of our Matchett family. By close I mean five minutes walking distance!! A lot of them emigrated and ended up fighting in the American civil wars!!! My own great-great grandad Richard Matchett married another of their close neighbours called Annie Lester/ Leicester. As yet I have not read the parish notes of Seagoe but intend to do so soon as they go way back further and may shed some light on puzzles that have otherwise reached a dead-end. Please keep in touch and I can keep you posted with any new break-throughs.from Stephanie.
