Hello Stephanie,

I am a newcomer to the intriguing field of genealogy:

Richard Matchett, born in 1802, in Cavan, Ireland, is my paternal gg-grandfather, who married Charlotte Kewney from the Isle of Man - (we finally found her surname spelling with help of some wonderful genealogists from the Isle of Man) in 1830 in Liverpool, England.

From your postings, I would assume that you are a very knowledgeable genealogist. Do you have any information on the parents (? Alexander Matchett and Margaret Allen?) of Richard Matchett and any of his ancestors, going further back than that?

I emigrated to British Columbia, Canada, from Liverpool, England, with my Matchett family, so I am the first one of my dad's family line in Canada. I apologize for my unfamiliarity of the counties of Northern Ireland.

Thankyou for any information you can provide.

Kindest regards.
