Hi,
I am researching a family tree which includes the MATCHETT family. John Matchett and Ann Crosby (this info has not ben confirmed) had a son called James Matchett - born around 1821, maybe in County Cavan(?) - who married Jane Wills (Wells), born around 1823 in Ireland. They emigrated to Canada (year unknown, but possibly between 1840 and 1848) and my family is descended from two of their children: Marjorie Matchett [1849] and James Crosby Matchett [1850]. I hope that you can supply me with any additional information about this branch if the MATCHETT family. These Matchetts ended up in Wakefield, Quebec, Canada. Thank you.
CoV
