Yes, there were two Edward Matchetts who lived in Holmes Co. MS in the 1800's -- the father, who was married to Sarah Risher; this Edward Matchett was b.in 1780 in Duplin Co., NC and d. 1853 in Holmes Co. MS.

This Edward Matchett had a son named Edward Matchett, who was b. 1822, Holmes Co., MS.

I do not have any further information on this latter Edward Matchett right now, but I do have his ancestors back to the immigrants if you would like them.

Sincerely,

Linda Moore
