Hello Alison

Great to hear from someone related to the Mathers. I do not have the date of birth for your great great grandfather Charles. I was named after him, Robert is my grandfather Williamson and Charles my middle name is from my granddad Charles Mathers. I am known as Charlie by all the family but I joined the Army and got called Robert, but I have got used to being called one or the other, just left it instead of causing confusion.
Have you been doing your family tree long, I have got stuck with the Mathers as some of the dates I cannot find. I have got back to the 1690s with my mothers side of the family.
I stay in Aberdeen have done for the last nearly 18 years.
I will have to get back to doing it again as I have not down much this year. As my son moved to the USA and we were helping him move and planning our trip for the wedding over there.
I hope you will be able to share some of your family tree and maybe fill in the blank dates ect that I need or maybe I can help you in your research.
Thank you for contacting me.
Regards
Robert
