This is what I have:
William mathers, born May 1760, Bucks, PA. Married 3 Feb 1785 to Esther Thorn. He died 30 Nov 1844.
Esther Thorn b abt 1762 in Cumberland, PA. Died 16 Feb 1831 in PA.
This is a cut and paste from another website (that I didn't write down the address for, sorry):
"William Mathers in 1834 states in his application for Revolutionary War pension, that he was b. 1760, Bucks Co., PA. This is in the probate records of Nicholas Co. KY, Book E-2, Vol. 7, Page 34. William Mathers was mustered out of military service in Cumberland Co., PA where he married Esther Thorn, dau of John and Mary Thorn, in 1785. About 1790, he and his family, his brothers Thomas and Samuel, migrated down the Ohio River and landed at Maysville (then called Limestone), and went inland and settled in what is now Nicholas Co. KY."
I am a beginning genealogist, so apologies for the lack of references, but it might get you started in the right direction.
