Hello!
The Mathers are on my dad's mother's side of the family. I know little about them and want to learn more. My great-grandmother was a Mitchell, but her mother was Mahala Mathers and her dad was John Mathers. I do know they first came from Ky and then went to Monroe Co., Indiana first, then some went southward into Martin and Lawrence Co, (In) John's father was James, who was a carpenter when the county seat of Lawrence Co. was first Palestine, before it became Bedford. Any info would be much appreciated .
