Elizabeth: Your John Mathers, 1781, Wash. Co. Pa. did he move to Ohio in the early 1800's? There is a John Mathers in the 1790's censes from the southwest corner of PA., Washington County, townships of Hopewell, Newton, Tyborn, & West Pensboro., There was 1 male over 16, 3 free white males under the age of 16 years of age and the were 2 free while femailes under the age of 16.
