Bob
Thank you for the website.I did not see anything that remotely looked like a connection to my Miller line.
I would like to know where you got the name Martha Matlack.I was at the Gloucester County Historical Society today and looked at the best source for the Matlack family I have found.I did not find Richard Marshall in the index.Unfortunately the index contains only male names making it extremely difficult to find females by their maiden name.
I did find an interesting bible record in the Marshall surname files.
Thomas Marshall was born January 16th 1788.
Martha Marshall (wife of Thomas Marshall) was born March 27th 1790.
Unfortunately Martha’s maiden name is not listed.
Richard Marshall was born October 1st 1814
Richard Marshall and Rachel Osler married October 5th 1837
Richard Marshall and Emaline Wood married October 19th 1845
This bible record has the births of all the children of Thomas and Martha Marshall that were in the 1850 census record I sent you.
The first three children of Richard Marshall, Charles, Levi and Thomas, were born to Rachel Osler.
G Wood Marshall married Almira Jackson December 25, 1878.But you knew that.
Since Richard Marshall’s first wife was Rachel Osler it opens up a new line of research.
There may be something in Osler family records that will help with Richard’s mother.
I can scan the 6 pages of bible records and email them to you.
Curt
