This is what I have on the ancestors of Abigail Matlack. It closely matches what Joe had with one exception.
Richard Matlack's second wife was Mary Wood, widow of Joseph Coles.
Abigail Eldridge's mother was Esther Rogers.
The place where I differ from Joe is the date of the marriage of Abraham Matlack and Abigail Eldridge, and the dates of the birth of thier children. My marriage date, April 8, 1763, is from a microfilm copy of thier marriage license located at New Jersey Archives, Trenton, New Jersey. The dates for the birth of thier children, with the exception of William, is from a photo copy of the family pages of Abraham Matlack's bible. William is not listed in the bible.
All my other sources list William as a son of Abraham and Abigail.
I am interested on information about Richard Matlack Cooper. Was his wife Mary Cooper, or is that her married name? I have a photograph, taken about 1860, of a Dr. Richard Matlack Cooper who was a founder of Cooper Hospital in Camden. I thought he was the son of William Cooper and Abigail Matlack, but realized the dates were wrong. I was missing a generation. I believe he is a son of your Richard Matlack Cooper.
