Thanks so much for your kind research there. That must have taken a lot of effort on your part. Being marooned out here on the west coast I have become quite dependent on the internet for research rather than being able to prowl libraries and churchs etc.
It would appear then that my wife' grandmother Anna Elizabeth Matlack was related to "The Fighting Quaker", Col. Timothy Matlack in a cousinly way, so to speak. She was from the Philadelphia area and married a minister becoming a medical missionary to India where she practiced as a physician for many years. She had four children, Jason Guild Wood, Clara Wood, Ethel Wood, and Della Hope Wood, who was my wife's mother. My wife was born in India and spent the first 13 years of her life there until the Japanese made India rather inhospitable in 1944 at which point they moved back to the states.
