Timothy Matlack wrote in January 1823 "From and account written in my father's hand it appears that my grandfather, "William Matlack came to America in the year 1677 (14th of 6th month) from Cropwell Bishop in Nottinghamshire, on the ship "Kimp", Capt. Gregory Morley, with Daniel Wells and Thomas Olive, which ship came to Sandybrook near Perth Amboy 14th of 6th month 1677, and from thence to Chester on Delaware where the people left the ship, went up the river to the island now called Burlington."This William Matlack being a capenter by trade, built the first and second house in the city of Burlington--served 4 yrs. with Thomas Olive (seems to have been an indentured servant to Olive). He married Mary Hancock who came to this country with her brother, Timothy Hancock on the ship "Paradise" on 7 March 1681 from Brailes, Warwickshire in "old England".
You might find the book by Asa Matlack Stackhouse "Col. Timothy Matlack, Patriot and Soldier" 1910 a paper presented to Gloucester Co., NJ Historical Society very interesting. This may or may not be your family but many of the places seem to match for the early history.I did not see a given name of Frank in the book and the NJ Historical Society has another Matlack book of some of the other family lines.
