Thank you Tina! I appreciate your information! However, as I said, the encyclopedia isn't my work. It belongs to S. Z. Matlock.
I know that it isn't completely accurate because it only lists one great-great uncle of mine. It doesn't list my line.
I'm a descendant of William Robert Matlock who was born about 1834 in Hawkins county TN. DNA tests proved that he was a grandson of Richard Matlock who was born about 1761 in NC. The entire line of William Robert is not listed in this encyclopedia except for the one son, my great-great uncle, that I mentioned.
I still, though, consider it to be a excellent guide. However, it should only be used as a guide. It isn't meant to be considered proof or fact.
