I have Barnet Matthias as a German immigrant and member of the Reformed Dutch Church. His son, John Barnet Matthias, b. 1767 in Germantown, PA, and by 1793 was in Peekskill, NY, after receiving his license to preach (Meth. Epis. church). Mostly the family stayed in N.Y./NJ area. J.B. Married to Sarah Jarvis (dau. of Nathaniel and Phoebe (Allen) Jarvis. Children of John Barnet Matthias and Sarah were:John Jarvis b. 1798l Barnet b.<1795>; Marian b. 1791; and Phoebe Ann b. 1800. The men were all preachers. Other names associated: ALLEN, RAISHECK, ADAMS, HOWARD, EWERT, ROBINSON.
