Hi Colleen. Perhaps you are aware or not that the Maudsley name goes back to the 1600's in CT. However, it changed to MOSELEY somewhere between then and the early 1800's. There is a John Maudsley (son of the earlier man of same name of Dorchester MA) who came to Windsor,CT. He died before 1664(?)Don't know if he is buried there or in Glastonbury. His son John was born in Glastonbury CT and is buried there in Green Cemetery. (d. 1719)There are one or two Maudsley names on stones there. You will have some luck calling or going to the Windsor Historical Society, or contacting Jim Bennett at the Glastonbury Historical Society. I am interested to see what you find out, since I am a Moseley/Maudsley myself here in CT. Let me know what you find out. I will share what I have if it is useful. GL!
