Hi Steve:

I think my John was born about 1836 - he married Hannah Halsall and was a farmer by trade. At this point, I don't know if there were any other children.

I live in BC,Canada, but I did know that Southport was originally North Meols from my springtime trip to the area. I am currently searching the 1871 census of North Meols so will keep my eyes open for any other Mawdesleys.
