Not sure if Rachael and Mary were related but it sure seems possible, I am mean they both came from PA and both ended up in Seneca NY. My original intention was to start my research on the Spoon side of my family. My maiden name is Spoon and I was born and live in Washington state. My great grandfather Henry Spoon came out here in 1891 from his birthplace Spoonville MI, his parents were Daniel Spoon and Helen Laughtenslachlager or Lautenschlager, they were both born in Seneca Falls NY and moved and I assume founded Spoonville MI. Daniel Spoon's parents were Daniel Spoon and Mary Mauger. Daniel Spoon Sr. was a Hessian Mercenary in the War of 1812. I am also trying to find out more about that too, as I have no clue what a Hessian Mercenary was.

You are welcome to e-mail me with any information you may come across, and if I find any info about Rachael Mauger I will let you know. I wish I had started this research about a year ago, as I probably could of got some great information from my great Aunt Mabel Spoon, but she passed away last June, she was in her late 90's, and sharp as a tack. But I will contact my Aunt Patsy (Spoon) Wellington as she may also be of some help, everyone kind of deems her the keeper of our family history, whether she likes it or not.

Thank You

A Possible Cousin
