Hello Patrick:
I noted with interest your posting.I am a Winningham researcher. One of the Winninghams, James O. Winnningham married a Cora E. Kirk in 1904.I recently found that Cora E. Kirk's mother was Lucille Caroline Burks Kirk who was born in Coffey County, Tennessee, January 28, 1837.She married a James W. Kirk in Webster County, Missouri, on November 20, 1856.They had seven daughters and two sons.Among the daughters was the Cora I mention, and the oldest was Julia A.Julia A. married Daniel M. Maulding, and lived in Delafield, Hamilton County, Illinois.
I found an obituary for Lucille Caroline Burks Kirk, wo died in Delafield on March 18, 1926, at age 89, who was living with her daughter, Julia A. Maulding.Listed are daughters Martha Jane Daily, Julia A. Maulding, and Cora E. Winningham, plus others.
Also, I found a will of Julia A. Maulding of Delafield, Hamilton County, Illinois, indicating among her heirs at law as Daniel M. Maulding (her husband), Z. A. Daily, James H. Daily, Whitson W. Daily, William H. Daily, Lewis A. Dailey, plus others that include Cora Joines (whom I think might be Cora E. Kirk Winningham remarried?)
This sounds like your line to me because of their location in Hamilton County, Illinois.
Can you confirm that Julia A. Kirk, wife of Daniel M. Maulding, is of your line?
Thank you,
Bob Portsche
