All I know about the Haben family is that they were shoemakers who owned a shoe manufacturing company in Alsace-Lorraine.There might be a connection to the Royal Family of France in some way. Records show they came to Pittsburgh around 1835.
The Mitchell's are from Col John Mitchell who was second in command to General James O'Hara of Pittsburgh who was appointed General Supply Officer of the Army by Alexander Hamilton.
Records shows James O'Hara stayed at Versailles compound in France for a time before coming to Pittsburgh.
O'Hara Township at Fox Chapel Pittsburgh was named after General James O'Hara.
As I said, the name Mauer might be a spelling error. The McKeesport Versailles Cemetery Site B shows lot 32 having Bruce Dunseith Lewis Jennings, Lot 33 Jacob Mauer "No Interments", Lot 34 Kerber Muse Speidel, Lot 35 Kidd Neel, Lot 36 Eden.
