Bob,
I have been piecing together bits of information about Peggy Moyer for a number of years and still only have a cloudy picture but I am glad to share what I have. Peggy appears to be the nickname for Margaret Moyer. She is connected to Jacob Moyer/Mayer/Mawyer who first shows up in Virginia with the 1785 Albermarle Co. census. He is listed as the "head of a household of 11 white souls". I am still working on what the exact family relationship is. Jacob migrated to Va. from Northampton Co. Pa. In addition Polly she was mother to Mary b)1790 and John b)1794. She inherited a piece of property from the Moon family located at the intersection of the Hardward River and Old Lynchburg Rd. She applied for a Revolutionary War pension claiming to be kin to Adam and Jacob Drumheller saying that she watched them march off to war with packs on their backs. As I said it's a clowdy picture but maybe something useful to you. I have no information on Permelia Mawyer and in fact have never seen tha name before but would love to know more about her. If you find anything please let me know.
Marshall Mawyer
