Mawyer/Smith/Nelson County

I am researching the Joseph and Patience Elam Smith line of Nelson County. Field or Fielding Smith was a brother to Joseph, as both were sons of Childers or Childress Smith. Field was administrator of his father's will. I believe his father died in 1813. Field Smith moved to Kanawha County in the 1830s. Field had at least four daughters.(I believe I have a line that descends from one of his daughters. However, I cannot find any info to confirm this. Just a lot of arrows pointing to the fact.) There is a great probability that Alice was the daughter of Field. Since she named one of her sons Childress Smith Mowyer, Smith would be her maiden name, and Childress the name of her grandfather.
Joseph had a daughter Lydia who married a William Bailey, and she named one of her sons Childress Smith Bailey. He ended up in Albemarle County, and other members of his family moved to Putnam County.
