My husband is related to the TOMS family of Covesville, Heards, Hungry Town, Spring Valley area. There are many MAWYERs and TOMS marriages listed in our records as follows:
-- John A. Mawyer Jr. born 1832
married Colie Ann (also called Cora Ann) Toms
5 children: Wilson Lee "Levi" b. 1855; Salvaree S. b. 1857; George b. 1858; John Nicholas b. 1860; Fannie b. 1863.
-- Fannie married John M. Toms and had 10 children as follows:
Herbert L b. 1886; Annie Maude b. 1888; John Bland b. 1890; Bernard Tinsley b. 1893; Helen Anderson b. 1894; triplets Clara; Tiny; Eliza b. Jan 1897 (all died at birth); Ora Grace b. Dec 1897; Ashby Smith b. 1902.

I also have a record of a Andrew Mawyer marrying a Margaret Toms & having 12 children: Walker, Howard, Emmett, Walter, Jeter, Henry, Harry, Stuart, Hottie, Evelyn, Carrie Maud, Montague (only date I have here is that Margaret was born in 1860).

If someone would let me know if these records check with theirs or if adjustments need to be made, I would appreciate it.
