Most of my Maxie family roots were in the Jasper/Jones County area of Mississippi. Did your great grandmother have any links to those Maxie's? Do you know anymore about her history?

My grandfather was Chester T. Maxie. He was born in Jasper County and died in Jones County. He had one brother named James Houston Maxie, which also died in Jones County. The story goes, that both boys were taken in by a friend of the family after their father passed away. Their father was C. A. Maxey and was born and died in Jasper county.

All of these men died as young men from heart disease, including my father. I also have heart disease and I'm curious to know just how far back this genetic defect has existed.

Thanks in advance for any information you might be able to share.
