Sorry, but that doesn't ring a bell with me. I really know very little about the Maxie/Maxey side of my family other than what I have learned over the past few years and that just consist of names and dates.
My father and mother divorced when I was very young and I did not see much of my father afterward. He bounced around the country until his death at the age of 34.
I did learn that the spelling changed with my grandfather's generation to "Maxie."
I will say that "Mae" seems to be a popular name in the Maxey clan and can be found frequently going back many generations.
