My middle name, Maxton, comes from my grandmother, Dora Belle Maxton, b 7 Aug 1883, Cherokee Co, KS. d 27 Dec 1979 Mobile AL. She married Feb 1907 William Leroy Haner, b 2 Jul 1880 Cherokee Co, KS. d 14 Jul 1960 Whistler AL. They resided Crestline KS; moved to Mobile AL in 1919, to Whistler AL 1920. Both buried Whistler Cemetery.

Their six children:
Oda Louise Haner (Fletcher), b 8 Apr 1909 deceased circa 1995 Mobile AL
Edward Maxton Haner, b 21 Sep 1910 res Mobile Co AL
Nancy Lucile Haner (Roberts), b 29 May 1912 res Mobile Co AL
Edna Mae Haner (Havard), b 4 Apr 1914(my mother) res Mobile Co AL
Wilma Sade Haner (Wilkins), b 18 May 1916 res Mobile Co AL
Mary Jane Haner (Shepherd), b 17 June 1918 res Mesa AZ

As you can see they are long lived.

Dora Belle Maxton was a sister to Mae, Frank, & Grover Maxton.
