GOLDEN - Alice Pauline Mayhall, 90, died June 28, 2008, at Darlington Oaks-Verona. She was born on March 25, 1918, in Lawrence County, Ala., to Grover C. and Louise Bates Brown. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Walker Baptist Church.
Services were at Walker Baptist Church with burial at Walker Baptist Church Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included one daughter, Mamie Pauline McDonald Hamilton of Golden; one sister, Sarah Margaret Lucille Allison of Golden; one brother, Hoarce Ozbirn Brown (Ruby) of Cherokee, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Kathern Sparks, Louise Warren, Richard Brown, all of Red Bay, Ala., Frankie McDonald and Raymonda Vinson, both of Golden, Sharon Bowen of Peppertown, Michial Hamilton of Tuscumbia, Ala., and Kenny Hamilton of Vina, Ala.; 16 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Clarence McDonald, Mack Dunn and Sam A. Mayhall; her son, Silas Franklin McDonald; two sisters, Dora Tucker and Pearlie Mae Brown; five brothers, Grady Cleveland Brown, Monroe Jackson Brown, Charles Joseph Brown, George Willie Richard and Walter Earnest Brown.
