He was a resident of St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland County, Va. d. before 1784. 300 acres of bounty land was issued to Martha C., wife of Thomas Taylor, and other heirs in 1824. Martha and Thomas Taylor moved to McCracken Co. KY subsequently.John's will mentions brother George Thomas, sister Janeta Brown and daughter Amy, sister Charlotte, Tommy and Charles. In 1823 Thomas Brown is given as an heir of John McAdam and also of Joseph McAdam, surgeon in the Virginia Line.The History of Walker County, Texas gives Martha C. Taylor's father as Joseph McAdam. She may be a descendant of Joseph McAdam, but certainly not his daughter. John McAdam appears to be unmarried. What is Martha's relationship to John McAdam?
