Looking for any help I can get with an ancestor: William James McAnaul, the family bible told us that William was born in a small town in the North of Ireland called Muff. We think that Muff, may have been in Antrim and was re-named. We hope someone can help us locate the town they originated from. He married Mary Jane McPherson and they had one child in Ireland, Eliza Jane. Around 1843 or 1848 the family left Ireland and went to the USA (New York) eventually making their way into Eastern Quebec, to a town called Eardley. They are both burried in the Eardley Cemetary as are some of their children. Eliza Jane married Howard Andrews. The McAnaul family eventually spread out and settled in Ontario, some ot the towns associated with them are, Bellville, Kirkland Lake, Cobalt, Fort Stewart etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
