McAULEY - Ballinger, Texas, Jan. 5 - The funeral of W. L.
McAuley at Bronte yesterday had the appearance of a cattle
men's reunion more than it did a funeral. Mr. McAuley died
at his home here Sunday after a residence of fifty-three
years in this county, and early settlers who had moved away and had not been here for many years returned to attend the funeral. Men came from many parts of Texas and from Kansas to attend the funeral.
