John J. McAuley, age 74, longtime resident of West Chicago, Army Combat Veteran of Korean War, Purple Heart Recipient, retired owner of McAuley Roofing. Beloved husband of the late Eileen, nee Marshall; loving father of Jeff, Quinn (Nicholene) and Rita (Bill) Larsen; proud grandfather of Kelly and Ryan Larsen; dear brother of Irene (the late Robert) Sanders, Dorothy Peary and the late Marion Dolan. Visitation Wednesday, 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday, 10 a.m. until time of funeral service 11 a.m., at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road (-1/2 mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
