Guess what Patricia!Your Grandfather Alfred, fondly called by family as "Alfee" is the son of my gr-grandfather, Timothy McAuliffe and his first wife (name unknown).Alfee's siblings include Katherine (Reverend Mother of the Broadstairs Convent in Sussex); Louie (teacher); John (geologist and customs officer); Alec (priest and private chaplain to Duke of Norfolk, Arundel Castle); Bridget; Mary; Theresa; John (Jack - World Light Heavyweight Champion - undefeated) and the other two are unknown. My research on Timothy's parents goes to two possibilities;f. Dennis McAuliffe, m. Ellen Reidy//or f. John McAuliffe.I'm still researching that lineage.Gr-grandfather Timothy was a Color Sergeant/Regimental Sergeant Major in the 87th Royal Irish Fusiliers for over twenty years. His 2d wife was Cecilia Gifford with whom he had seven more children. Any help?Ray Curtis
