Cynthia,
My GGfather Maurice McAuliffe had 4 brothers, Patrick, David, Cornelius & John; none of whom settled in Maryland. His only son was named William. I haven't found a Dennis during my search.
A recent death notice in the Baltimore paper was for a William A. McAuliffe Jr. born in NY, died in Chestertown Md. He has 2 sons: William A. the III in Estero FL. & Christian S. in New Orleans. I don't know if we are related. Sorry I couldn't provide more. I would like any McAuliffe info that you have. The more pieces to the puzzle the beter. Good Luck.
Tom
