Hi Tom,
My Dennis shows up on the 1880 Census for Baltimore MD McHenry Street as: Dennis McAuliffe age 27 born Ireland with his wife Ellen age 22 also born Ireland and thier daughter Mary (Mamie) age 1 born in MD. He is next door to Michael McAuliffe age 56, his wife also Ellen age 64 and their children Mary age 29, Johanna age 27, and a James Dore age 30, all born in Ireland.
Dennis and Ellen also had chilren:
Dennis b. 1873
Katie b. 1884
Thomas b. 1886 this is my husband's line
Cornelius (Neal) b. 1888
John b. 1890
Timothy b. 1893
Joseph b. 1895
Lillian b. 1898

I have found all of their spouses and few children but am stumped as to when they arrived and with whom. They did attend St. Peter's Church in Baltimore and the baptismal records state they were originally from County Limirick and that Ellen's maiden name was Fitzgerald. Funeral arrangements for most of the earlier deaths were all handled by John Cowan & Sons, with most buried at New Cathedral Cemetary. Please email me if you are interested intheir marriages and children or of course if this does tie into anything you may have. Thanks so much for the help.
