Hi,
My Great GrandMother was Mary Ellen McAuliffe. Her family was from the L'ville area and I guess very well connected. She married my G Grandfather Nicholas Smith (Smyth) in the late 1800's. They had four children three girls and a boy. Apparently Mary Ellen died when the youngest child was very small possibly and infant. Their children were split up and sent to both Northern Indiana and Tn. I'm looking for any information possible. Thier son, my grandfather John Smith was sent to live with relatives in northern Indiana (Hammond), he was raised by the McLaughlin family. Any infor would be great.
