Doug, Does your grandmother remember a Bessie M McBain that mar. Harry Homer Odell? I am researching this fam. for a freind. The only McBains that I have found in Adams
Co IA is the following, so think they are Bessies parents.

I just looked at the 1880 & 1900 census Adams Co Ia. Douglas Twp.
