All of the McCalibs, McCalebs, McCalebbs, Mccalips, McCalips and McKillips are related. The name was originally McKillip or McKillop which was listed as being affiliated with the McDonnell's of Keppoch or the McDonnell's of Glengarry. I prefer to think it was the McDonnell's of Glengarry since they had their own castle. My line of the McCaleb's came up from Tennessee to Illinois. Jefferson county Illinois, where my great great grandfather John M. McCaleb married Catherine Bryant in 1856. As of yet, I have no info concerning his family in Tennessee. Do you have any ideas or info that would help me? Thanks! Nancy
