Carol, I hope there is a connect. I haven't got a great deal on this line. I have a bunch of old family notes done in the 60's by my mother and aunt.
William McCallep b. unknown
m. Sarah Ann Nicholas b. abt 1826 (notes b. Scotland however, I have found a Scotland in Green County, Ind which I think may be the Scotland noted. Mother never said they researched back to Scotland, and I think she would have mentioned that).
Their only know son is William Nathaniel McCallep b. 2/2/1845 (LDS files say 1847) d. 8/24/1930.
married Mary Elizabeth Harness about 1885, ILL.
Their children were:
George Sherman b. 8/27/1889 c. 1960
Sarah Mabel b. 6/23/1891 (8th child)
Jesse or Sillman J. b. 1880 Friendsville, Ill d. 9/20/1884 burried Wabash, Ill tombstone reads Syliman
Calomina J. 10/11/1880 d. 9/20/1881
Clarence Gilbert b. 7/14/1883
Dora b. 9/20/1886 d. 1964
Jacob b. 8/11/1888
Unknown b. 1885
There is a note about a 1/2 brother John but it is not clear who's 1/2 brother he is. It would either be George of the last generation or William Nathaniel b. 1845.
