Okay...an update to my previous posting on my greatgrandfather:
All the info I have is posted on my website at:

(click the image, then on the main page, go to the McCall section)
I haven't had time since August to further research anything, but I have added nearly everything I had found during the summer to the site...as for how Benjamin Franklin McCall died, it's still a mystery (most likely an illness resulting from a shot-as in a vaccination-seems to be the most likely of the stories I've heard).Hopefully soon I'll have a chance to venture back down the road to Corsicana to the Navarro County Courthouse and do some more research (the Genealogical Society at the Corsicana Public Library was of great help when I visited over the summer). They, along with the Henderson County Library in Athens, have a book of marriages for Navarro County from 1889-1899, which included a record for the marriage of B.F. McCall and Mattie Nickles on April 5, 1896.I could find nothing, however, on a previous marriage.
If you have any questions, comments, or complaints...feel free to email me at [email protected]
