He then became a presiding Judge in the Tazewell County Court until his death in 1865. He was given the honorary title of Colonel by Gov. John B. Floyd.

This appears to be written in recent years, and I speculate that the writer was incorrect in adding the surname "McCall" and may have actually been referring to a Jessie MEEK. I further speculate that this Jessie and Fannie MEEK were the parents of Eliza Meek who married John McCall Jr. RLP 2-19-98He was married to Fannie HUGHES on 11 Dec 1800 in Washington County, VA.
