My wife is descended from the same Matthew McCalla you mention. She is descended through his son Greenberry who married Nancy Quinn. They are both buried at Stone Church Cemetery in Catoosa County, Georgia.Presumably, Matthew and Rosand are buried there also.
We have notes on Matthew and Rosand which were compiled by Greenberry's daughter, Lola McCalla Copeland, in the early 1930's.Also, a letter dated July 26th, 1888 from Wade Osborne in Cabal, Chester County, SC to Greenberry which outlines Rosand's ancestry. She also was a McCalla.
Note: In the letter Mr. Osborne spells McCalla as McCauley, and my wife's family always understood that the McCallie family of Chattanooga is also part of their McCalla family.
I would be happy to share any of the information in the old letter with you if you are interested.
