DNA Linking of McCarleys
Hi, all Male McCarleys or interested parties-
We have now evidence from DNA studies that the following branches are linked to a most recent common ancestor living within about the past 200 years (they all go back to the same McCarley man):
1. Robert Rankin McCarley, b. 1813 (lived in AL, married to a Litteral)
2. Abraham McCarley, b. abt 1801 (lived in AR, married to a McDaniel)
3. Abraham McCurley (that is NOT a typo, family name is currently McCurley), b. abt 1780 (lived in IL, married to a Brown)
4. George W. McCarley, b. abt 1814 (lived in AR, married to a Perry)
These are important outcomes and I wanted to share them with you all.
Now, I wish that other direct (uniterrupted McCarley surname ) males of the McCarley/McCurley.. group will contact me about undergoing DNA testing to further elaborate the tree and see where and when we are connected.
AT this point in time, we have one root ancestor for four branches that were suspected to be connected. Thus, we need to see if there are other ancestors for Mccarleys around the US, particularly those in the Southeastern US.
I look forward to your responses.
-Robin
