I do not have any specific information YET about your ancestor ... but hopefully I will be stumbling onto something shortly ;-)
But either your ancestors & mine are linked ... or its too freaky a coincidence for words ;-)
During that time period ... my ancestors were the only McCarroll's in the Schomberg, King Township & West Gwillimbury Township areas.
I am working on the possibility that your Sarah might be a sister to my G-G-G Grandfather. He came to the area in 1840 with his father in 1840 at the age of 15. His older brother came to the area in 1834 ... and there was 15 years difference in their ages. So I have been hypothesizing that there must have been other siblings who came over with the father in 1840 ... just haven't been able to confirm that yet. But ... my G-G-G Grandfather named one of his daughters born in 1852 Sarah ... and my G-G Grandfather born in 1855 was named William. And there is a VERY strong tradition of naming children in honor of a someone in a previous generation.
And that sure makes trying to keep everyone straight real interesting since no one seemed to start using middle names until my mothers generation hahhaha.
Anyway ... email me if you would like to discuss this further. In the meantime ... I will continue my search for those possible missing siblings ;-) I will post the info here if I find anything.
