I found this newspaper article that mentions Irving McCauley as a grandson of Mrs. and Mrs. Frank M. Dukes, but there is no way to tell which of their five daughters is his mother. Dukes, 6838 Lowe ave, celebrated at an open house for their friends. Mr.and Mrs. Dukes have spent their entire married life in Southtown, where three of their daughters and one son have also made their homes. They are Mrs. Harry Beck, 7813 Sanga- mon st.; Mrs. Adeline Eisensee and Mrs. Michael Miller, who live at the Lowe ave, address, and George Dukes, 658 W. 60th st. Two other daugh- ters. Mrs. Howard Swearingen and Mrs. William Brennan, live at 6619 Kenwood ave, and Frank M. Dukes, Jr. lives at 7265 South Shore dr. Two grandsons are in service – Irving F. McCauley, who was wounded in a naval engagement in the Pacific and is expected home soon on furlough, and Tech. Sgt. Eugene Beck, who is in the air corps at Pierre, S.D. Mr. and Mrs. Eckenstein were married in the Nativity Catholic church 50 years ago. Two daughters live in Southtown – Mrs. P. J. O’Leary, 7794 Carpenter st., and Mrs. Bert Swanson, 9910 Campbell ave. One son, Walter, lives in Kankakee; John Eckenstein lives at 7605 Green st., and Raymond at 8620 Elizabeth st. They have 13 grandchildren. Notify Administrator about this message?
