'm trying to find info on the family of a Matilda McCausland who m. Richard Dancy (married 1832 York County Ontario).

I see by Rootsweb genconnect entry, that she is the d/o a James McCausland who was b abt 1770 in Ireland. Anyone know for certain? Entry also says she died abt. 1833 (abt a year after her marriage?). Were there issue from this short union?

1828 Militia Men of Malahide Township Elgin County, Upper Canada
2nd Regiment Middlesex Militia:
McCAUSLAND Andrew b abt 1795 Omagh, Tyrone, Ireland. Wife Catherine Baxter - Margaret
McCAUSLAND James b bt 1798 Ireland. Wife Maria Ward

would anyone on this list know if the Andrew and James McCausland are Matilda's sibs (or other relationship)?

(copied from elsewhere on the net - accessed through Elgin County Genweb as was the above URL )
Surrogate Court Records
Volunteers at the Elgin County Library have indexed the Surrogate Court Records for the London District and Elgin County from 1800 to 1900. For the London District, all the available records were indexed.
DATE[ AUG 6, 1872
FILE[ 409
MFNO[ 1378
NOTES[ - described as a physician
- executors: John Kinsey, Malahide;
Robert Evans, Malahide;
John McCausland, Malahide

I assume (I know - bad genealogy term)... that this Edward Dancey died prior to Aug. 6, 1872 - he still shows on the 1871 Federal Census Index on-line as being 73 yrs. old, born Ireland, Physician and living Malahide Twp. Elgin Co.), so born abt. 1797.

Trying to sort..if John McCausland of Malahide is any relationship to Matilda McCausland who m. Richard Dancy... And... if Richard Dancy is any relationship to Edward Dancey. (seems with the Dancy/Dancey family..spelling was not important).
