Caswell Co, NC, Will Bok E, Page 392, Rosannah McClarney, March Court 1808:
In the name of God amen, I Rosannah McClarney being poorly in body but in sound mind and memory do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth ~
First I command my body to the dust to be buried in a decent manner and that the Executor of the same be desently satisfied for the same and after my last debt is paid I desire that my wearing close be equally divided between Caty Ford (?), Elizabeth Holloway, Caty Fordís (?) four children, that is the four children have one third of the close (clothes).
Also, I further desire that my grandson James McClarney, son to Caty Ford (?) have all the rest of my estate except one C? which I give to my son Henry McClarney and lastly I appoint E? Meredith? Price executor of this my last will ? whereof I have ? unto ? my hand this 23 October 1807. signed:
